I really liked
this from Brad DeLong. I've been mulling it over for a few days and I'm not sure I agree with either the premise or the conclusion, but it's an interesting thought. I hope he develops it further. Perhaps I'll have a more substantive reply soon, but time is scarce lately. Either way, you should read it.
